Welcome to Austin Royals Flag Football!
Our first priority is to disciple our athletes to know Christ more fully and to equip them to make Him known to others! Beyond that we simply want the boys to have lots of fun playing Royals Flag Football competitively with excellence, with godly character, and with value for others above ourselves.
Austin Royals Flag Football is offered for Elementary (5th/6th) and Middle School (7th/8th) grade boys. The season starts from the beginning of August through the beginning of November. Coaches will determine player assignments on teams and player positions during the first week or two of the season.
We play area private and parochial schools during the season and compete within the ACAA league (Austin Christian Athletic Association) for a championship title, which is seeded from regular season league games, and played around the last week of October. ACAA Flag Football plays with 6 athletes on the field.
In 2024 ACAA Flag Football will have one division for each age group (Elem/JH) this year.
All A-teams will be required to play all A-teams and the top teams will be seeded into the Gold Division of the ACAA Championship Tournament at the end of the season.
B-teams can play any willing A-team (not required) and all B-teams in the ACAA. We will play all B-teams at least once and attempt to play A-teams also. If we cannot play some A-teams we will replay some B-teams twice if needed to fill our game schedule. B-teams will likely be seeded into the Silver Division to play against the B-teams and lower seeded A-teams.
Coaches will determined A-team (Royals Black) and B-team (Royals Purple) rosters during the first two weeks of practices. Brothers on Elem/MS teams will be placed on the same color team to allow parents the convenience of going to games in the same location.

Generally speaking, our practices are Tues and Thurs from 5:30-7:30p. We might have adjustments during the season if games fall on one of those days. Please see GroupMe weekly for updates.
